France ]
the essence of the tour!
Rolling out of classic Saint-Raphaël situated on the French Riviera, riding your Harley-Davidson into the maw of Verdon Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Southern France.
Into the historical Palais du Papes, through the hillside city of Baux-de-Provence, the wildlife reserve of La Carmague delta, and on to the roman built Nimes Coloseum and all this on roads that are visually stunning, and riding through aromas of fresh thyme and lavender.
At the end of May, the country side is alive and even the roar of your Harley-Davidson is unable to disturb the calm and seductive landscapes.
Mont Sainte-Victoire (made famous by the painter Paul Cézanne) is served up for breakfast, Pont du Gard, the ancient Roman aqueduct bridge is for Lunch and your dinner is a la carte.
- We will ride together in a group at a moderate pace following the group leader on an Electra Glide.
- The baggage will be transported separately in a van.

Make your way to Hotel Agay, 9 km outside Saint Raphaël. We will organise options if you arrive by train to Saint-Raphaël station. |
In the morning we pick up our bikes, then we take a glance at Saint Tropez, riding through the incredible 'Massif des Maures' and by the lake of The Holy Cross in the verdon Regional Park. |
Today we ride through Luberon Regional Park, Saint-Remi of Provence and to the 1,000+ year old Les Baux-de-Provence. |
We proceed through the Camargue Regional Park, and the cities of Nimes, Uzes, Pont-du-Gard. |
We do Mont Ventoux in low gear, and we are happy that we are on Harley-Davidsons and not part of Tour de France, to the summit of Montagne de Lure. |
Along Via Route Napoléon (the route taken by Napoléon in 1815 on his return from Elba), the medieval village of Moustier-Sainte-Marie and finally to the Grand Canyon of Verdon. |
Today, a visit to the Perfume Museum in Grasse, a thrilling descent to the village of Fréjus and to the ' Massif de l'Esterelle' |
After breakfast you are free to continue your travels or to start your trip home. |
