There are magnificent bike weeks in Europe, An example is the village of Grimaud, on the Mediterranean coast but there is also, and even popular, Faaker See (Faaker Lake) Annual Bike Rally, which is held in in one of the most picturesque parts of Austria, close to the Slovenien border.
A bike week and one of the most beautiful Harley-Davidson festivals on the continent. To get there, we need to soar like eagles on mountain roads with breathtaking views through the superb landscapes of the Bavarian Alps, both Swiss and Austrian.
We also manage to swing by the old Bavarian town of Munich and Salzburg the home town of Mozart.
This tour is a brand new concept and ran for the first time in 2011.
The concept is a group of bikers who yearn to ride on superb roads, mainly in Germany and Austria and who want to take part in largest bike week in Europe (40,000 motor bikes) while sticking to a very reasonable budget. 'Old Fashioned Bike Trip' is the keyword, helping each other, travelling as a group reinforced by fun and festive evenings. The luggage is also transported the 'old fashioned way' on the motor bikes. No need to brush up on your German/Austrian, as your guide will interpret as often as necessary to English or French. And be prepared for the quality of the meals in these Germanic areas!
- We will ride together in a group at a moderate pace following the group leader on an Electra Glide.
- The baggage will be transported on the back of your own bikes!!

Today we will be leaving Strasbourg and riding across the Schwarzwald. |
We will ride along the Rhine Valley arriving at Oberstdorf, a famous skiing and hiking town. |
We will ride across Bavaria to the Neuschwanstein, where we will visit the fairy tale castle which was the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty. |
We will ride across the Grossglockner Pass, 3798 metres high and the second highest mountain in the Alps. |
What about going to the Nockalm mountain pass? |
We will leave European Bike Week and ride through Gerlos Pass to Salzburg. |
We will ride from Salzburg, along Chiemsee Lake up to Munich. It's the 3rd largest city in Germany after Berlin and Hamburg. |
We will leave Munich today and ride both on the motorway and on smaller roads through the Schwarzwald to Ulm on the river Danube. |
